for ages 4 to 6
Understanding and sharing stories and experiences are foundational skills for academics and social participation. Under the guidance of a Grow SLP, camp participants will practice the skills to develop narrative language and build skills in these areas:
- Story (narrative) Organization
- Perspective-Taking
- Retelling Stories
- Generating personal narratives
- Print Awareness
- Phonological Awareness
- Expressive Vocabulary
- Story Sequencing

Art-themed speech therapy camp: craft & connect
For ages 8 to 12
Navigating the complex social landscape of the “tween” years can be difficult, especially for neurodiverse kids. Under the guidance of a Grow SLP, camp participants will use a wide range of art mediums to explore ways to connect with others – and connect with themselves!
With a neurodiversity affirming-approach, we will be learning about and practicing the following skills and concepts:
Social-Emotional Literacy:
Personal Awareness (Executive Functions & Self Regulation)
No artistic skill required; only the willingness to try!
We will explore a variety of forms of visual art:
At the end of each day, there is the option for everyone to share about something they are proud of with the group.
We'll practice how to try new projects, persevere through challenges, and make positive comments that encourage one another.
With a neurodiversity affirming-approach, we will be learning about and practicing the following skills and concepts:

- Teamwork and Collaboration
- Finding common interests with peers
- Giving and receiving respectful feedback
